Hearken gracious Lord we pray
Knocking at Thy door we say
Do not Thou deny our pleas
Needy are Thy devotees

When chastizing us,O God
Spare us from Thy wrathful rod
Open to us mercy's door
Kindly hear as we implore

Hearken as we call to Thee
In ourselves so frail are we
Hear our pray'r for good art Thou
Grant our needs, though great'e now

Mercy grant, Lord, mercy grant
Thine abundant mercy grant
Count not thou our evil deeds
Kind one, who doth know our deeds
